Bladder Sage; Paper Bag Bush

A member of the Lamiaceae, the Mint Family

Flowers and fruit.
After the flower is pollinated, the fruit developing from the base of the flower inflates,
giving the shrub its common name.

Near the beginning of the Mary Beale Nature Trail in Providence Mountains
State Recreation Area, at elevation ca. 4400 feet.
