A member of the Cuscutaceae, the Dodder Family

Habit.

Twining around and clambering over a small shrub, apparently its host.
Dodder is parasitic, entirely dependent on the host plant for its sustenance.

Along Crystal Springs Trail, Providence Mountains State Recreation Area
at ca. 4500 feet elevation.
